Samantha Ruth Prabhu (சமந்தா ரூத் பிரபு) is an Indian film actress(born 28 April 1987) and model, appears in Tamil and Telugu industries.In mid 2007, her first major release Ye Maaya Chesave, released in February 2010.
In 2013, Samantha received the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actress and the Filmfare Award for Best Telugu Actress in the same year, for the films Neethaane En Ponvasantham and Eega, respectively. She received SIIMA award for Best Actress - Telugu for Attarintiki Daredi in 2014.
